I am a cacti

Searching for the soul

In the desert of your love.

No rain, no shower

Just a hope

For a drop of dew of love.

While you could become the oasis

You refused to become even a puddle.

I dreamed to become a verdant tree

To give a passerby some relief

But you rejected and shattered my dream.

I once was a flourished plant

With beautiful leaves and bright flowers

But my wish for a drop of your love

Sucked away my life,

Drop by drop, inch by inch.

Now, I am a cacti

Loveless but alive.

My leaves turned thorns are my armour

My enveloped cage in nights keeps me warmer.

Though no more attractive and no more thrive

I am a proof, in the desert of your love, without your drop of love

I still can survive.

Getting out of the Loophole you put me into.
