I once saw a big Elephant in a zoo tied with iron shackles to a nearby pole. The elephant was giant enough to break the shackles easily with just one blow of his leg but he wasn’t even trying to get rid of that annoying thing tied to his legs.
Later, I read in some article that when a baby elephant is tied with the shackles, he is not strong enough to break them. He tries for some time to break that bond but ultimately accepts that he cannot get rid of those shackles. Over time he grows big enough to break them easily but he has accepted the fact that he can’t win over that. He stops trying and remain tied for the rest of his life.
Same happens with us. We try to deal with a situation for some time but accepts our failure very soon. Though we have the power to get through it, we chose to remain in our comfort zone. A zone where we have accepted our defeat. We are ready to stay in our defeat for rest of our lives but not ready to give our best to get through.
Stop giving excuses, stop complaining. Take responsibility for your actions and the situation in which you are in. Don’t accept your defeat till you turn the situation around. Life is tough but so are you.
