Green Lawn

Under the gaze of starry night,
A solitary moon,
Witness of all our happy moments,
Our caressing, togetherness and our intimate soul touchings,
That too only through eyes of unspoken stories,
In that endless green lawn.
We sat together, laid in each others laps,
We knew our love was beyond words,
And it was meant to thrive freely,
Unstoppable with any gird,
Our lazy moments our sleepless nights,
Those love makings only through eyes,
After late dusk and an early wait for dawn,
Our love lingered in that endless green lawn.
It was our favorite place,
Nothing to see but everything for us to be there,
As we went there for completing our first date,
Moments of eternal bliss and ceremonies to elate,
We stole moments of togetherness and took few ticks of clock at loan,
As we have everything, like everything in that beautiful verdant green lawn.
Stars shooted and moon light rerouted,
To see the glimmer, the grace of your beauty ,
Stardust sprinkled,
Cosmos mingled,
The suns begged the night,
As their turn was away by hours.
Your beauty controls universe,
Turning it to heaven or graving it to hells,
You hold all that power,
But you choose to smile,
With the curving of your lips, the universe beguiled,
Love was everywhere you stepped your feet,
The sun put his light to moon as pawn,
It all happened in that fortunate viridescent green lawn.

P.S.- Here green lawn is the green belt running along the Rajpath.(India gate lawns)
